Most dental and orthodontic practices impacted by COVID-19 are following strict government/regulatory guidelines and have temporarily suspended service or are only providing emergency procedures/service. Many doctors are using video calls and patient-submitted photos to help monitor patient progress, reduce in-office appointments, and ensure continuity of medical professional patient care during treatment.

In this time of need, serving our communities is more important than ever before. One of the best things about our industry is the commitment we all share to helping others. At Align, concern for others is core to our purpose of transforming smiles and changing lives, and we are incredibly proud of the work our employees are doing individually to make a difference, as well as the work we are doing as a company. Our teams have been working to source and supply additional PPE equipment and medical supply donations for frontline healthcare workers in the communities we serve.
We are also leveraging our 3D printing technology and manufacturing expertise to produce face shields and medical swabs for COVID-19 testing kits and donating them to hospitals where we do business.
In March, the Align Foundation pledged US$1 million to support COVID-19 relief efforts globally. In February, Align donated RMB 1 million to the Chinese Red Cross Foundation to support its ongoing prevention and control efforts.
